LOOPHOLES OF THE EDUCATION POLICIES OF GOVERNMENT

Right to Education bill has been passed in Lok sabha, which have a propensity to provide a compulsory primary education from 1st Apr,10 to each and every child of India specially in rural areas. It is really a kind step towards children who are deprived of primary education. But in reality,is it functioning properly?Even today we can see small kids working in canteens, roadside restaurants, shops etc. These are the sources of their livelihood. They are not willing to go to school simply because if they go to study who will earn for them?Even parents compel them to sweat, even they are helpless.

Laws are made on paper,India is developing hypothetically,we are showing that HDI(Human Development Index) of our nation is showing good signs of escalation but not on practical grounds. We cant blame government for this. But in point of fact entire system-from top to bottom is corrupted. Intermediaries working in this channel are the main culprit. For instance if we talk about mid-day meal facility, how many actually benefited by this gift of Govt.? In govt schools suppose the class strength is of 60 students, not more than 30 students attend the classes seriously rest of them only go for a meal or if the student is not present the surplus food was taken by the intermediaries.

Government is spending a good amount for the development and betterment, even it is providing the appropriate resources every year but that amount and resources are not actually utilizing at the right place as it should be.

Another case in point is of scholarship which is provided to the SC/ST and also the poor students of rural areas. The students need to enroll themselves and the fees is paid by the govt. But in actual private colleges enroll the rural students, they get the fees and whether the student is attending the classes or not its not a matter of apprehension for them.Colleges are least hot and bothered.

System is responsible for the misuse of resources.Even government can’t rectify this inaccuracy just because of corruption. Every problem has got an “under the table” solution in India.Thats why India is still not in the list of developed nations.Urban regions are showing the signs of up gradations but rural areas are more degrading. Its actually a responsibility of every citizen of our country to contribute on his level. We can do this by encouraging kids to go to school,if any of the organization is not working properly we can complain against it,people should be made aware of their rights and duties so that they can avail the facilities provided by the govt. for them. Our small contribution can show a drastic change in our society and needy people can be benefited by it.
